VikingGenetics appoints new Chairperson of the Board

At the ordinary Delegates of Representatives meeting on 21 April 2022 Per-Johan Svensson has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Board for VikingGenetics

VikingGenetics today announces the appointment of Per-Johan Svensson as chairperson of the board. He will succeed Lars-Inge Gunnarsson, who recently stepped down from his position. Besides the chairperson, the Delegates of Representatives elected Anders Ramström as a new board member representing Swedish dairy and beef farmers.

Per-Johan Svensson lives in Sweden and has a long background within the industry and has been on the board of Vâxa since 2013 and on the board of VikingGenetics since 2014.

“VikingGenetics is owned by the Nordic farmers, and we will continue the work to secure future breeding progress for our owners and our global customers. Also appointing a new CEO will be one of the Board's first assignments and the process is already underway” says Per-Johan Svensson.

“On behalf of the entire Board, I want to thank Lars-Inge Gunnarsson for his tireless work as Chairman. Personally, I am humbled by my new chairman role, but I am very confident that the strategic choices that have been made in the past are right. The board I get the privilege to lead is a good team to create future development, " says Per-Johan.
